I have heard that Devotion sells a chocolate protein powder that is made with Stevia, that has a bad after taste. I have not tried that one. I’m wondering if that is the one you may have gotten. I have the one that is called original. I would check to see if that is the issue.

I made these last night and had to substitute vanilla extract for coconut extract. The flavor of these has a really off taste. I think it’s something in the Devotion mix, as when I smell that packet there is an odd scent. I have used their other flavors before with great success but this is the first time I’ve used the chocolate. Have you heard other comments that this flavor is slightly off? I was so sad because they look delicious, just didn’t taste quite right.

You can definitely try using another protein powder like Quest.
The recommend Quest or Devotion protein powders since they are specifically made for cooking/baking with.
You could definitely use sugar free cake mix, but that would increase the points quite a bit.
