Thanks for the comment. I’m thrilled to hear its a staple at your house. If you make the holes big enough and use a spatula to spread the pudding, the pudding will settle into the holes. It’s my favorite part in keeping the cake nice and moist!

This is a staple in my house & I bake one for every holiday or picnic we go to. I do not add the Nilla wafers or bananas on top. I use unsweetened almond milk & I now make it with sugar free deviled food cake and OMG delicious. Not sure what the purpose is of putting the holes in the cake as the topping does not seep into the cake.
