Hi Anna

Thanks for reaching out. There are few different things that could cause the “burn” error.

1) Before closing the lid, stir to combine to make sure the liquid gets to the bottom-and make sure to scrape any food bits from the bottom of the pot.

2) 8qt Instant Pots require more liquid than 6qt Instant Pots so if you’re using a bigger Instant Pot, you’ll want to add an additional 1/4 cup broth.

I really want to like this recipe, but I have tried to make it twice in my instant pot and both times I have recieved the “burn” message. I then have had to finish cooking it on my stovetop. Maybe my instant pot is a different generation than yours (it asks for a time and has low or high pressure – both time I have done it on high). Maybe it needs more liquid? I’m not sure.

It does taste very good when I finish cooking it on my stovetop, but this recipe just does not work with my instant pot.
