Easy Healthy Banana “Nice” Cream

This Easy Healthy Banana Nice Cream is a healthy alternative to ice cream – plant-based, dairy free, and naturally sweetened with fruit-so it’s made without any added sugars! Cool down during the hot summer months with this refreshing recipe!

 Makes 4 ( 1 cup) servings

What is Banana “nice” cream?

Banana “nice” cream is a frozen treat using frozen bananas as the base.  This “nice” cream requires just a few easy ingredients- frozen bananas, a little bit of milk, and your favorite add in’s!

What ingredients do I need to make this Easy Healthy Banana Nice Cream?

All you’ll need is:

  • Frozen fruit: blueberries, raspberries, pineapple, mangoes, peaches, nectarines, cherries, strawberries, ect.
  • Frozen bananas-The bananas can be as ripe as you want – the riper they are, the sweeter your “nice” cream will be. I like to wait to freeze them when they have at least a few spots on the peel -that way I know they will be sweet once they are blended.
  • Unsweetened almond, coconut, or skim milk– I love using unsweetened almond or coconut milk. Point value will vary if you use skim milk.
  • Vanilla extract-adds a bit of sweetness.

When I blend fruit will there be PersonalPoints® for it?!

According to WW; If it’s something you’ll drink, like a juice or smoothie, the nutrition facts for zero PersonalPoints value fresh fruits and vegetables count towards the total. If it’s something you’ll eat, like a salsa, sauce, stew, or soup, fresh fruits and most vegetables remain zero PersonalPoints values for those individuals that have fruits as a zero point food item.

That means if you are eating this Banana Nice Cream with a spoon and not drinking it- the point values will remain ZERO points!

What blender or food processor do you recommend?

Using a food processor or a professional-grade blender makes ALL the difference when it comes to making this healthy banana “nice” cream! The blender/food processor I love and recommend is Ninja food processor or the Vitamix 5200 Professional-Grade, Self-Cleaning Blender-which you can find HERE on Amazon.  The Vitamix blender is a bit pricey-but worth the price if you’re looking for a high quality blender-but if it’s not in your budget and are looking for a less expensive professional blender and food processor I recommend the Ninja Compact Kitchen System with Auto-iQ, Blender Food Processor Combo- you can find it HERE on Amazon.

What flavors of  banana “nice”cream can I make?

The combinations are endless!

Chocolate Peanut Butter– 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder and 2 Tbsp peanut butter

Here are a few of my favorites:

  • Chocolate-add 2 Tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

I was told by a WW coach that once the fruit gets blended, it no longer becomes a zero point food. I LOVE this recipe so I'm curious to know how it stay zero points using a blender. Please help... I am going to count it as a 2 point snack for now. LOVE it!

According to WW website> If it’s something you’ll drink, like a juice or smoothie, the nutrition facts for zero SmartPoints value fresh fruits and vegetables count towards the total.

However-if it’s blended and it’s something you’ll eat, like a salsa, sauce, stew, or soup, fresh fruits and most vegetables remain zero SmartPoints values in those recipes.

That means if you are eating this Banana Nice Cream with a spoon and not drinking it- the point values will remain ZERO points
