Christmas Tree Appetizer Tray

Surprise your guests with this beautiful Christmas Tree Appetizer Tray this holiday season!

Serves 10-12 people

What ingredients do I need to make this Christmas Tree Appetizer Platter?

  • Pepper jack or Monterey cheese sticks, cut into cubes 
  • Cheddar cheese sticks, cut into cubes
  • Light Mozzarella cheese sticks, cut into cubes
  • Green grapes
  • Red grapes 
  • Celery rib, cut in half-for tree trunk
  • Cheese slice, cut into a star
  • Fresh rosemary and/or thyme, for garnish
  • Fresh cranberries, for garnish
  • Crackers, to serve with

Can I use other ingredients?

Absolutely, this appetizer tray is super versatile. Feel free to add additional fruit, veggies, or a protein such as:

  • Turkey pepperoni or salami
  • Carrots, chopped
  • Cucumbers, sliced
  • Cherry tomatoes
  • Broccoli florets
  • Green or black olives
  • Raspberries or strawberries

How do I make this Christmas Tree Appetizer Tray?

Start at the base of the Christmas tree cheese platter. Place the red grapes at the base of the tree, followed by fresh rosemary, then a layer of cubed cheese.

Now continue adding more layers, adding a row of cheddar cubed cheese, and followed by green grapes, and then garnish with fresh rosemary/thyme in between each of the rows. 

Finish the Christmas tree cheese board with crackers on the side, and a star made from sliced cheese, ( I used a cookie cutter) and the celery stalk on the bottom of the Christmas cheese platter.

Add fresh cranberries throughout, if desired.

Can I make this Christmas Tree Appetizer Tray in advance?

You can make this platter up to 24 hours in advance. Just cover it tightly with plastic wrap and store it in the fridge.
