What ingredients do I need to make these Easy Homemade Turkey Breakfast Sausage Patties?
- Lean ground turkey– you can use 99%, 98%, 97%, or 93% lean ground turkey. I like to use 98% butterball ground turkey.
- Olive oil- I like to add just one tablespoon- this helps brown the turkey while it cooks.
- Fresh parsley – you could use 1 tablespoon dried parsley flakes if you don’t have fresh parsley on hand.
- Ground sage
- Onion powder
- Garlic powder
- Paprika
- Black pepper
- Kosher salt
How do I make these Homemade Turkey Breakfast Sausage Patties?
These can be made on the stove or in an air fryer. Here are the step by step directions for making them on the stove:
Place all the ingredients in a medium bowl.
Mix until seasonings are well combined with the turkey.
Shape the ground turkey mixture into 14 small patties ( I use about 1½-2 tablespoons each and make them about 1/2 inch thick)
Spray a large nonstick skillet over medium heat.
When skillet is hot, place as many patties as you can into the skillet and let them cook for 4-5 minutes, or until browned on the bottom and beginning to cook up the sides. Flip and continue to cook for another 3-4 minutes until no longer pink.
Remove patties from heat and repeat with remaining patties, if needed.
Serve warm with your favorite breakfast items, inside a breakfast burritos, wrap, or sandwich.
Store leftovers in an airtight container in the fridge for up to 5 days.
