What ingredients do I need to make these No Bake White Chocolate Peppermint Protein Balls?
- Rolled oats -gluten free, if desired.
- Reduced fat peanut butter or almond butter– I like to use Better n’ Peanut Butter, You can find it on Amazon HERE. This peanut butter has only 100 calories and 2.5 grams of fat per serving!
- Honey or honey substitute – used for a natural sweetener and binding agent. I like to use Keto Honey or Caramel syrup from ChocZero. Yes they are. This is the kind of oats that you want to use for this recipe.
How do you make these No Bake Peppermint Protein Balls?
Combine all ingredients (except crushed peppermint candy canes) into a large mixing bowl. Mix until well combined.
Roll batter into balls using your hands. Each ball should be around 1-inch in size.
Place crushed candy canes into a shallow bowl or plate. Roll protein balls into crushed peppermint candy canes. Roll protein balls into crushed peppermint candy canes.
Place protein balls onto a cookie sheet that has been covered with parchment paper.
Chill the protein balls in the fridge until firm.
Store leftovers in a ziploc bag and store in the fridge for up to a week or freezer for up to 3 months.
What if the batter is too dry?
Add a little bit of almond milk or skim milk to help bind the oats together.
