I’ve got the ultimate patriotic dessert for summer—and it’s mini! These Red, White and Blue Mini Cheesecake Trifles are decadent, creamy, refreshing, and delicious.
They’re packed with angel food cake, a homemade cheesecake yogurt layer, juicy strawberries, sweet blueberries and then topped with whipped topping. A fun patriotic treat, snack or dessert for summer!
What ingredients do I need to make these Red White and Blue Mini Cheesecake Trifles?
- Reduced fat whipped cream cheese– room temperature.
- Non fat plain, Greek, or vanilla yogurt– any yogurt will work. I prefer to use non fat plain yogurt in these cheesecake trifles.
- zest of 1 lemon
- juice of 1 lemon
- Blueberries
- Strawberries– chopped
- Angel food cake– I buy this from my local grocery store.
- Fat free reddi whip
What is each amount for each mason jar?
This recipe will make five ( 12 oz.) mason jar servings. Each mason jar will have:
- 1 slice of angel food cake (cut into bite-size pieces)
- 1/2 cup non fat plain or Greek yogurt mixture, divided
- 1/2 cup strawberries, chopped. Divided.
- 1/2 cup blueberries, divided.
- 2 Tbsp fat free whipped topping
What if I don’t have mason jars?
No worries! I like to make these in individual mason jars for portion control however you could also make this in a larger trifle dish, if desired.
How do I make these Red White and Blue Mini Cheesecake Trifles?
I buy the angel food cake at the bakery at my local grocery store. The one I purchase is 100 calories per serving and there’s 5 servings.
Start by cutting your angel food cake into servings.
In a large bowl add the softened cream cheese, yogurt, lemon zest, and lemon juice and and whisk until it’s light and fluffy.
Place half the pieces of angel food cake in the bottom of each mason jar.
Top the cake pieces with ¼ cup non fat plain yogurt mixture.
Then add 1/4 cup chopped strawberries and 1/4 cup blueberries.
Top the fruit with 1/4 cup yogurt mixture.
Add the remaining pieces of angel food cake to the jar. Top with remaining 1/4 cup strawberries and 1/4 cup blueberries.
Top with 2 tablespoons whipped topping.
Garnish with additional fruit on top, if desired.

FYI: I clicked your "Click for WW points" link ... it DOES NOT list the 4 oz. reduced fat whipped cream cheese as an ingredient??? It's not "6 points" per serving, but "8 points" per serving.

I made this for the fourth of July... It looks GREAT! My change was that I used a little monkfruit in the cream cheese mixture and made four servings at 6 points each! I have only tasted the cheese mixture and OH MY HECK!!!! It is the same flavor as cheesecake! You gotta try this! Oh, and I made it in my 16 ounce canning jars and I had to use frozen fruit as I was not going out to get the fresh, although I would love that too!
