Slow cooker sweet potatoes are the ultimate effortless side dish for the holiday season—comforting, cozy, and bursting with the flavors of fall. This dish couldn’t be easier to throw together: simply peel and chop your sweet potatoes, toss them into the slow cooker with a touch of light butter, brown sweetener, cinnamon, and a hint of vanilla extract, then let the slow cooker work its magic.
As they simmer slowly, the sweet potatoes become incredibly tender, soaking up all the warm, spiced flavors that make your kitchen smell like autumn itself. By the time Thanksgiving dinner is ready, you’ll have a rich, melt-in-your-mouth side dish that pairs perfectly with turkey, stuffing, and all your favorite holiday classics.
Whether you top them with toasted pecans or a few mini marshmallows for a nostalgic twist, these slow cooker sweet potatoes are the kind of easy, make-ahead recipe that saves you time and oven space while still delivering that comforting, sweet taste of the season.
