Creamy Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing

This Creamy Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing is perfectly sweet creamy poppyseed dressing you’ll ever make-perfect on fruit or salad! I’m telling you-it doesn’t get any easier to make-just a handful of ingredients and just 5 minutes!

Makes 8 (2 Tbsp) servings

What ingredients do I need to make this Creamy Homemade Poppy Seed Dressing?

  • Light Mayo– I like to use Kraft Light Mayo. I think it tastes just like the real deal and is lower in points than most light mayo.
  • Non fat plain Greek yogurt– you could substitute the Greek yogurt for non fat plain yogurt, if you’re not a huge Greek yogurt fan. However,  I think the tanginess of the Greek yogurt compliments the sweetener and then mixed with light Mayo creates great flavor for this dressing. The reason I choose to use half light Mayo and half non fat Greek plain yogurt in a lot of my dressings or sauces is because #1: it lowers the points, calories, and fat content and # 2 the light mayo masks the Greek yogurt taste!
  • Unsweetened almond milk-you could use skim or unsweetened coconut milk, if you desire.
  • Zero Point white granulated sugar sweetener– I use Lakanto Classic Monkfruit sweetener. You could use your preferred sweetener. Just be sure to use the ratio for real sugar on back of the package. The Lakanto Classic Monkfruit I use has a 1:1 ratio to real sugar.
  • Apple cider vinegar– this also gives the dressing a nice acidic taste and flavor and masks the tang of the Greek yogurt!
  • Poppy seeds– the star of the show!

I don't usually buy almond or coconut milk. Would Soy milk work just as well?

Hi Barbara

Yes, soy milk would work as a substitute for the unsweetened almond milk.

Thanks
