Easy Lasagna with Oven Ready Lasagna Noodles

This Easy Beef Lasagna is made with oven ready lasagna noodles-which means NO PRE-BOILING!  I’ve been making this recipe for years and everyone agrees–this Easy Beef Lasagna recipe makes for the best tasting classic lasagna!

Makes 8 servings

This is the BEST no-boil lasagna recipe-made using lean ground beef or turkey sausage, a homemade zero point marinara sauce, and blended cottage cheese all baked into a delicious dinner that you and your family will love. This Easy Beef Lasagna can be made with blended cottage cheese or low fat ricotta cheese. I prefer using blended fat free cottage cheese in this recipe-blending the cottage has a similar texture to ricotta cheese and has less points!

What ingredients do I need to make this Easy Beef Lasagna Using Oven Ready Noodles?

  • Lean ground beef or turkey sausage-feel free to use either one. The ground turkey sausage contains more points than lean ground beef. You could also use ground turkey, if desired.
  • Onion– diced
  • Garlic- minced
  • Barilla oven ready lasagna noodles– you can use gluten free oven ready noodles, for a gluten-free option.
  • Eggs-beaten
  • Fat free cottage cheese-blended in a food processor or blender
  • Light mozzarella cheese-shredded.
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Zero point marinara sauce or 2 (24 oz.) jars no added sugar spaghetti sauce – I like to make and use a double batch of my Zero Point Marinara Sauce. Click HERE for the recipe.
  • Fresh basil or parsley-for optional garnish.

How do I make this Easy Lasagna Using Oven Ready Noodles?

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

In a large skillet or dutch oven, brown lean ground beef or turkey sausage, onion, and garlic over medium-high heat until no pink remains. Drain excess fat, if needed.

Add marinara sauce to the cooked meat. Stir until well combined. Set aside.

In large mixing bowl, combine beaten eggs, blended cottage cheese and 1/2 cup of the mozzarella cheese and parmesan. Set aside.

In a 13×9 baking pan, spread 1 cup of sauce on bottom of pan.

Layer in the order, 4 uncooked lasagna noodles (it’s okay if they overlap),

1/3 part of the cheese mixture, cooked meat, and 1/3 part of marinara sauce.

Continue to layer, using 4 uncooked lasagna noodles, 1/3 part of the cheese mixture, and 1/3 part marinara sauce.

For the top layer add the remaining 1 cup mozzarella on top of the sauce.

Bake covered with foil for 50-60 minutes.

Uncover and continue cooking until all the cheese is melted on the top for about 5 minutes.

Garnish with chopped fresh basil or parsley, if desired.

This is an absolutely delicious, low point lasagna! And so easy to make!! Is it okay to assemble the ingredients ahead of time and freeze the lasagna until I’m ready to bake it? Thanks very much!

Can you freeze this after making it?

So good and very easy to make. I used the Barilla gluten free noodles. This is definitely a repeat recipe. It is WW and celiac friendly. Thank you. My whole family loved it. Lasagna is so expensive and unhealthy at the gluten free restaurants.
