Makes 10 pizza egg rolls

What ingredients do I need to make these Pizza Egg Rolls?

  • Egg Roll Wrappers-I use Nasoya®
  • Pizza sauce -I use Great Value
  • Turkey pepperoni, sliced and diced – I use Hormel
  • Shredded reduced fat mozzarella cheese – I use Market Pantry light mozzarella from Target
  • Grated Parmesan cheese
  • Egg plus water

How do I make these Pizza Egg Rolls?

Slice and dice 23 turkey pepperoni slices into tiny pieces

Measure out 3 ounces of reduced fat mozzarella using a food scale.

I recommend using a food scale to measure out cheese-it’s more accurate than using measuring cups.

In medium bowl combine, pizza sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella cheese, and Parmesan cheese

stir until all ingredients have been incorporated.

Place about 2 Tbsp filling slightly below center of wrap. Bring the corner that is closest to you up and over and gently tuck it in

Fold in the sides and roll the wrapper tightly. Use a small amount of water to secure the tip of the wrapper.

Repeat until all 10 wraps are completed.

Place a piece of parchment paper on a on baking sheet.

Lay pizza roll ups on baking sheet about 2 inches from each other.

In a small bowl whisk together egg and 1 tsp water until egg is beaten.

Using a basting brush-brush egg wash over the pizza roll ups.

Bake 15 to 18 minutes or until golden brown

Spray the bottom of the air fryer basket with non stick cooking spray.

Place the pizza rolls in basket.

Cook for 7-8 or minutes at 390 degrees.

Enjoy!

These were delish! However, I made them in the air fryer and had trouble with them sticking and breaking open. The first batch, I put in parchment paper and they stuck to that. Second batch I sprayed the parchment paper and fared better. They were not overstuffed, and I used Dynasty Wrappers which are pretty thick, any ideas on what to do for both issues?

Hi Erica

Thanks for reaching out. I’m happy you enjoyed them-I’ve never had that issue before-but then again, I’ve never tried that particular brand of egg roll wrappers.

I recommend brushing the seams really well with the egg wash to help make them stick better. Did you by chance cover the entire wrapper with egg wash?

Hope that helps, Linds

Do you think I could use won ton wrappers and have it turn out the same? I can't find egg roll wrappers here.

Hi Emily

Yes, I think these would taste just as good using wonton wrappers!

Thanks

Hi! First of all these are amazing (first ever air fry recipe I’ve tried) but am I still supposed to do the egg wash in the air fryer??

Thanks so much! ☺️

These are the BOMB! Family favourite. We like them in the air fryer better than the oven. Takes longer but so worth it!
