These Easy Beef and Bean Taquitos make for a fast and easy family weeknight dinner-perfect for busy families!
THIS POST IS SPONSORED BY LAURAS LEAN, ALL OPINIONS ARE 100% MY OWN.
I’ve teamed up with Carusele to participate in the LaurasLean campaign, to make these Easy Beef and Bean Taquitos using Laura’s 96% Lean Ground Beef.
What makes Laura’s Lean Beef different than other brands of beef?
Unlike most other “natural” beef, Laura’s Lean product is a “Never Ever” offering, meaning their protein is sourced from suppliers that raise their cattle without ever using added hormones or antibiotics and are always vegetarian fed.
Laura’s 96% Lean Beef is certified through the American Heart Association heart check program and meets USDA standards for “Extra Lean?” That means each 4 oz. serving of Laura’s Lean contains less than 10 grams of fat, 4.5 grams or less of saturated fat, and less than 95 mg of cholesterol per 100 grams serving.
Where can I find Laura’s Lean ground beef, patties or plant-based burgers?
Laura’s Lean is the smart, healthier choice when grocery shopping. I love being able to add Laura’s Lean beef to my weekly online grocery list.
You can find Laura’s Lean ground beef or plant-based products near you using the Store Locator HERE.
What is the difference between a flauta and a taquito?
Well, here’s the thing: taquitos are made of corn tortillas while flautas are made of flour tortillas. Now, you can choose to use corn tortilla or flour tortillas for this particular recipe! I like using white corn tortillas to make these taquitos!
What ingredients do I need to make theses Easy Beef and Bean Taquitos?
- Lean ground beef-I love creating beef dishes using Laura’s Lean ground beef which I naturally feel good about. You easily substitute it for plant based ground, ground chicken, or shredded chicken.
- Taco seasoning-adds flavoring to the lean ground beef. I like to use Taco Bell seasoning.
- Onion– diced
- Garlic-minced
- Fat free refried beans-I use Rosarita fat free refried beans
- Cheese dip- I use Tostitos con queso dip
- White corn tortillas– 6 inch. I like to use Great Value or Mission white corn tortillas
- Kosher salt-for taste
- Toppings such as: fat free sour cream, salsa, guacamole, cheese dip, ect.
How do I make these Easy Beef and Bean Taquitos?
These Easy Beef and Bean Taquitos can be cooked in the air fryer or oven.
Here is the step by step instructions on cooking them in the oven.
Preheat oven to 425 degrees.
Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil and spray foil with non stick cooking spray or place a wire rack on baking sheet and spray the wire rack with non stick cooking spray.
Spray a large skillet with non stick cooking spray and add beef and garlic.
Cook until meat is brown and no longer pink.
Add beans and cheese dip.
Stir until well combined. Cook for additional 2 minutes. Remove from heat.
Heat a non-stick griddle over medium high heat.
Spray the tortillas with non stick cooking spray and cook for about 20-25 seconds on each side until soft and starting to turn golden brown.
Remove tortillas to a plate covered with tinfoil to keep them warm-that way they don’t crack when putting in the beef filling.
Spoon 1-2 tablespoons of the taco meat mixture into a warm tortilla and roll it up.
Place taquito seam-side down on the prepared baking sheet or wire rack.
Repeat until all taquitos are made.
Spray the top of each taquito with non-stick cooking spray and sprinkle with kosher salt.
Bake for 15-20 minutes or golden brown.
Remove from oven and let them cool for a few minutes.

These are amazing!!! Followed the recipe exactly and used the air fryer cooking directions for my air fryer and O.M.G sooo good. My family loved them! I had sour cream, guacamole, shredded lettuce, diced tomato, salsa, taco sauce and shredded cheese for them to use as toppings. Will be making these again!!!

This looks yummy and I’d like to try it! But ... the recipe write-up with photos says preheat oven to 425F — and the cooking instructions in the condensed version of the recipe says 390F. Also, do you think it would make a difference, white vs yellow corn tortillas? Please clarify! Thanks.

Believe one temp is for air fryer and one for oven.
