What makes this Glazed Ham low in points?
Using a zero point brown sugar substitute gives this ham so much flavor. Surkin Gold is a zero point brown sugar substitute that is zero calories, zero Smartpoints, and can be found some health food stores or online on Amazon.
How do I make this Glazed Ham?
Place the ham flat side down ( making sure the bone is upward) into the crock pot.
Ingredients:
- 1 (5-8 lb) bone-in ham
- 1/2 cup brown sugar substitute ( I use Sukrin Gold or Lakanto Golden Monkfruit Sweetener )
Directions:
- Spread 1/4 cup of brown sugar on the bottom of the slow cooker crock pot.
- Place the ham flat side down into the crock pot – you might have to trim it a little to make it fit.
- Sprinkle remaining 1/4 cup brown sugar substitute on top of the ham.
- Cover and cook on low for 6-8 hours
Servings: 5 oz. serving
GREEN: 3 SmartPoints for 5 oz. serving
BLUE: 3 SmartPoints for 5 oz. serving
PURPLE: 3 SmartPoints for 5 oz. serving
Tips:
- If you use a different brown sugar substitute be sure to check the point value. The Sukrin Gold, brown sugar substitute is 0 Freestyle Smart Points.
- Use a crock pot liner for easier cleanup.

- In order to calculate the smart points on a recipe you have to enter the ingredients in manually (by creating a recipe in the recipe builder) not by the nutritional information. Since this recipe contains zero point items the app doesn't realize there are zero point items in the recipe and will calculate it based only off the nutritional information which is not accurate.
