For these Pretzel Dogs I use the 97% fat free Hebrew National hot dogs.
They are 1 Smartpoint each and taste great. You can find these at your local Walmart stores next to the regular hot dogs.
Ingredients:
- 1/2 cup Gold Medal self rising flour
- 1/2 cup Fage non fat Greek yogurt
- Four 97% fat free Hebrew National Hot Dogs
- Egg wash (1 tsp water mixed with a beaten egg)
Directions:
- Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
- In a large bowl, add yogurt and self rising flour. Use a rubber spatula to mix together. It will be crumbly at first which is totally normal.
- Flour your hands and work surface and begin kneading. Knead until you can easily form a ball, about 8-10 turns.
- Cut the dough into 4 servings. Roll each section into a 1/4 inch rope and wrap around each hot dog. Brush each of the pretzels dogs with a little egg wash to help brown the tops.
- Cook for 20 minutes until the tops are golden brown.

When I add the exact ingredients into the WW app as a recipe it keeps coming up as 3 points per serving?

Hi,
The self rising flour I use is Gold Medal which is (5sp) per 1/2 cup and 4 dogs are 1 sp each (4sp) so if you make for of them-they should be 2sp each according to the ww builder.
The only difference would be is if you use a different brand of self rising flour-since the egg and non fat plain Greek yogurt is zero.
Hope that helps!
Thanks
Nancy

Yes, however you will need to add 1/2 tsp baking powder and a pinch of salt to make the flour rise. Thanks so much
