Skinny Chili Cheese Dog Casserole

This Skinny Chili Cheese Dog Casserole is super easy to make and requires just 5 ingredients! This casserole combines two comfort food favorites-chili and hotdogs! It’s definitely a crowd pleaser!

Makes 6 (1 chili dog with 1/2 cup chili ) servings

What ingredients do I need to make this Skinny Chili Cheese Dog Casserole?

  • Chili-either canned Turkey Chili with Beans or 3 1/2 cups of my Zero Point Crockpot Chili. You can find the recipe for my Zero Point Crockpot Chili HERE.
  • Hebrew National 97% fat free hot dogs-This brand of hotdogs are only 1 smart point each. I get these at my local Walmart or Kroger store next the regular hotdogs.
  • Reduced fat cheddar cheese– I use Velveeta Shreds. I get this brand of cheese at my local Walmart store. You can use fat free if you aren’t able to find a reduced fat cheddar cheese.
  • Pillsbury reduced fat crescent rolls– you may substitute these crescent rolls for the two ingredient if you prefer.
  • White onion– minced

Can I use the Two Ingredient Dough ( self-rising flour + non fat Greek yogurt) instead of the reduced fat crescent rolls?

Yes. You can use the two ingredient dough as a substitute for the reduced fat crescent rolls.

Directions: Combine 1 cup self rising flour and 3/4 cup non fat Greek yogurt ( use a VERY thick Greek yogurt like Chobani or Fage) together in a bowl; mix until dough forms. Transfer to a floured work surface and knead dough. Add a bit more flour if needed to keep dough from being too sticky, for about 3-5 minutes. Roll dough on floured surface and cut into 6 dough strips. Roll each hot dog with one dough strip.

Can you freeze this casserole?

Yes! This casserole can be placed in the freezer for up to a month.

Cover the freezable casserole dish in aluminum foil and freeze for later. When you are ready to eat it, thaw it out in the fridge overnight, and heat as directed.
