For these Caramelized Brussels sprouts you will preheat oven to 400 degrees.

I get my Brussels sprouts at Sam’s club. They sell them in 32 ounce bags (2 lb) bags.

Slice Brussels sprouts in half.  Place sliced Brussels sprouts in a large mixing.

Sprinkle the sprouts with salt and pepper. Drizzle soy sauce over the tops of the Brussel sprouts. Sprinkle uncooked bacon pieces evenly throughout the Brussels sprouts. Toss all ingredients until well incorporated.

Roast in the oven for 15-18 minutes or until bacon is crispy and Brussels sprouts are caramelized around the edges.

Ingredients:

  • 32 ounces or 2 pounds fresh Brussels sprouts
  • 2 Tbsp low sodium soy sauce
  • 8 slices center cut bacon, diced
  • 1/4 tsp pepper
  • 1/8 tsp salt
  • Non stick cooking canola oil spray
  • 1 Tbsp balsamic glaze ( I use Trader Joe’s Balsamic Glaze) (optional garnish)

Directions for Oven:

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees.
  2. Slice Brussels sprouts in half.  Place sliced Brussels sprouts in a large mixing bowl.
  3. Sprinkle the sprouts with salt and pepper. Drizzle soy sauce over the tops of the Brussel sprouts. Sprinkle uncooked bacon pieces evenly throughout the Brussels sprouts. Toss all ingredients until well incorporated.
  4. Roast in the oven for 15-18 minutes or until bacon is crispy and Brussels sprouts are caramelized around the edges.  Remove from oven and drizzle with 1 Tbsp balsamic glaze if desired.
  5. Serve immediately.

Directions for Air Fryer:

  1. Toss rinsed Brussel sprouts in a mixing bowl with salt, pepper, soy sauce and bacon.
  2. Place Brussels sprouts in air fryer that has been sprayed with non stick cooking oil.
  3. Cook at 390 degrees for 10-12 minutes. Stirring half way in between.
