The Super Bowl is just around the corner-here are a few other good low point dips to try:
Zero Point Buffalo Chicken Dip
I love the fact that beans and corn are zero points on the WW blue and purple program. With there being over 200-300 zero point foods I love getting creative and coming up with zero point dips and recipes that taste good and where I don’t have to worry about measuring out my portion.
For this dip, I use these chipotle peppers in adobo sauce. It gives this dip a nice smoky flavor and a little bit of heat. You can find these in the Mexican area of most grocery stores. You will only use 2 of the peppers and 2 Tbsp of the sauce for this recipe. You will want to store the remaining peppers in an air tight container in the fridge.
I like to use Trader Joe’s fire roasted frozen sweet corn for this black bean dip, it tastes fantastic with the chipotle chiles and black beans. You can also use regular frozen yellow corn or canned yellow corn that has been rinsed and drained.
You drain and rinse 2 ( 15 oz.) can black beans
And 2 ( 16 oz.) can fat free traditional refried beans
and 1 1/2 cups fat free salsa
For optional garnish: chopped cilantro, diced green onions, or light cheddar cheese and tortilla chips
Ingredients:
- 2 cups yellow frozen corn, thawed ( I use Trader’s Joe’s roasted corn)
- 2 ( 16 oz.) can fat free traditional refried beans
- 2 ( 15 oz.) can black beans, rinsed and drained
- 1 1/2 cups fat free salsa ( I use Trader Joe’s Homestyle Salsa Especial mild fresh salsa)
- 2 chipotle peppers in adobo sauce, chopped
- 2 Tbsp adobo sauce
- For optional garnish: chopped cilantro, diced green onions, or light cheddar cheese and tortilla chips for additional points
Directions:
- In a slow cooker mix together beans, corn, salsa and chiles with sauce. Cover.
- Cook on low for 3-4 hours, stirring after 2 hours.
- Sprinkle with cilantro, diced green onions and/or cheese if desired.
- Serve with tortilla chips, low point crackers or vegetable of your choice.
Servings: Makes 12 ( 1/4 cup) servings
GREEN: 4 SmartPoints per serving
BLUE: ZERO SmartPoints per serving
PURPLE: ZERO SmartPoints per serving

This recipe includes zero point foods therefore the points are calculated based off the non-zero point foods. The nutritional information is based off the entire list of ingredients therefore using the nutritional information to calculate points would not be accurate.

The point values and nutritional information is estimated and figured based off the brand of ingredients I used for the recipe using the WW app and can vary depending on ingredients used.
The weight watchers calculator says it’s 15 smart points using your nutritional information. How can this be a Zero Point Chipotle Black Bean Dip? I’m so confused!
The reason it could show 15sp is because the ww app is using the nutritional information based off what you enter. It doesn’t realize that all of the ingredients are zero point foods. Zero Point foods still have calories they just don’t apply to your 23 points ( or calories) for the day.
Oh my word!! I made this over the weekend and am in love with it. I eat this as a dip with fresh veggies, I scoop it up with Tostito Baked Scoops and LOVE LOVE LOVE it in a breakfast burrito wrap. I spread on one wedge of Laughing Cow cheese, then “schmear” this dip all over the cheese and top that with 2 scrambled eggs. Roll that bad boy up and get him into my belly! Only 2 SmartPoints for a very filling breakfast that stays with me until lunchtime. Thank you so much.
p.s. I’ve made your Plain Jane and Lemon Cheesecakes and adore them!!! You are amazing! Thank you for sharing all this love with us!
