This Easy Teriyaki Chicken can be made using skinless, boneless chicken thighs, breasts or tenders. I absolute love making it using chicken thighs which are more tender and moist in comparison to the breast or tender. The chicken thigh is the darker meat, which means that it is tenderer and more flavorful than the chicken breast.
A 3 ounces of skinless thigh meat is around 170 calories, 12.8 grams of fat, no carbs and 22 grams of protein. Both chicken thighs and breasts are great sources of lean protein. However, they can differ in the amount of calories, fat and saturated fat. A 3 ounce skinless, chicken breast is around 140 calories, 3 grams of fat, no carbs, and just 1 gram of saturated fat.
For these Easy Teriyaki you will:
Combine, chicken, sesame seeds, minced garlic, and Teriyaki sauce into a large Tupperware container. Stir and coat all the chicken pieces with marinade. Cover or place a lid on the Tupperware and chill in the refrigerator for at least 3 hours to allow the chicken to marinate.

I can’t wait to make this! How many chicken breasts should I use to make this? I know it said 12 thighs, but how many breasts?
Hi Rebecca,
Depending on the size chicken breasts it would make between 8-10 or 15-18 chicken tenders.
Thanks so much! Enjoy!

So each serving is 3 of the chicken thighs?
Hi Jean,
The serving size is: 4 oz. chicken thigh or chicken breast.
I understand about the 4 oz of the chicken thighs – the way it states serving is 4 (4oz) is what is confusing me…..sorry
Sorry for the confusion. The entire recipe makes 4 servings. Each serving is 4oz.
Hope that helps!
Thanks so much
I used your recipe and experimented by putting half in my air fryer and half in a griddle pan. It came out better in the air fryer because the same amount of time the thigh was pink inside from the griddle pan but the air fryer was perfect. 22-25 minutes at 360 and 5 minutes more at 400. Perfectly crisp and so terrific. Thank you for introducing me to the G.Hughes S.F teriyaki marinade. Janet
