How do I make these Honey Cilantro Lime Chicken Tenders?

In a mixing bowl, combine the cilantro, lime zest, honey, sugar substitute, soy sauce, honey, salt, garlic and

Juice from 2 limes.

 I use this Top Rated Zulay Premium Quality Metal Lemon Lime Squeezer to squeeze my lime juice from my limes.

Mix well.

Pour sauce on top of chicken tenders in zip lock bag. Seal the zip lock bag and place in the fridge for at least one hour to allow flavors to blend.

When ready to cook, grill chicken tenders using an outdoor grill or indoor cast iron grill pan on low heat. ( you may need cook two batches of 10 tenders at a time if you use a cast iron grill skillet)

Grill chicken tenders until they are no longer pink and the sauce has thickened and has caramelized or is golden brown.

This can take up to 10-15 minutes. 

Serve over rice, cauliflower rice or my Cauliflower Risotto.

  • 1/3 cup cilantro, diced
  • 1 tsp lime zest
  • juice from 2 limes
  • 2 tsp soy sauce
  • 1 Tbsp zero point granulated sugar substitute  ( I use Lakanto Monkfruit Sweetener
  • 1/4 cup honey
  • 1 tsp salt
  • 1 Tbsp minced garlic
  • 20 boneless, skinless chicken tenders

Directions:

  1. In a mixing bowl, combine the cilantro, lime zest, lime juice, honey, sugar substitute, soy sauce, honey, salt and garlic. Mix well. Place chicken tenders in a large zip lock bag.
  2. Pour sauce on top of chicken tenders inside the zip lock bag. Seal the zip lock bag and place in the refrigerator for at least one hour to allow flavors to blend.

Yes, you bet. You can cook these in the air fryer at 375 degrees for 10-12 minutes.

Hey there! I have neither a grill pan or a grill. Do you think an oven would work fine?

Hi Laila,

Yes, these could be cooked in the oven. 375 for 20-25 minutes-keep in mind they won’t have the fire grilled taste like the grill gives them.
