How do I make these Chicken Gyros?

Spray a large skillet with nonstick cooking spray and add diced onions.

Cook onions until they are caramelized. Remove onions from skillet.

Using that same skillet, spray the skillet with more nonstick cooking spray.

Cook chicken tenders over medium heat until chicken is tender.

Remove chicken tenders or breasts from skillet.

Using a sharp knife and fork slice chicken into thinly sliced or bite size pieces and return to skillet and continue cooking the chicken until it is no longer pink.

Meanwhile, in a small bowl combine all the seasonings. Stir until well combined.

Sprinkle seasoning mix over the top of chicken and continue cooking the chicken until it is no longer pink.

Remove from heat.

1 Tbsp lemon juice
1 garlic clove or 1/2 tsp minced garlic
1 English cucumber-the long, skinny ones
1 tsp salt
1 tsp fresh or dry dill

  1. In a bowl combine, non fat plain Greek yogurt, lemon juice, garlic clove or minced garlic, salt, and dill.
  2. Using a hand grater, grate English cucumber onto a plate. After cucumber is grated, lightly squeeze the grated cucumber between your palms over the sink or garbage to remove excess liquid.
  3. Then transfer the squeezed cucumber the yogurt mixture. Stir until all ingredients have been incorporated.
  4. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes before serving.

Servings: Makes 8 servings/ 2 Tbsp for Zero SmartPoints® for all three myWW plans

  • I recommend using a thick Greek yogurt (Fage or Chobani) for Tzatziki Sauce

I can't wait to make this. Just ordered pita and Daks off Amazon. Do I use the Daks Super Greek and the dash of rosemary, ground cumin, ground coriander & oregano?

Hi Anitra,

Awesome! It’s one of my favorites. Yes, that combination of seasonings really makes the chicken so flavorful. If you don’t have the Dak’s super Greek it’s still is very delicious-but if you have haven’t tried that seasoning yet and want to -i would recommend it. It’s delicious.

Enjoy
